Work as Worship

Work as Worship Unto God

If you’re a Christian entrepreneur, your work and your business is worship unto the Lord! But, our work is not to be worshipped. Our work as worship is true on multiple levels. The bible says to do all things unto the Lord as working unto him and not to human masters.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. - Colossians 3:23

When you really follow this, the way that you conduct yourself and the way that you work can be ministering to other people. So think about this, your actions could be making them wonder why is it that you’re different.

What is it that’s setting you apart from other entrepreneurs and businesses?

It’s not necessarily having a lot of success and all this money that they see and then that makes them question why you’re different; it can be that too.

No, what sets you apart is when maybe you have made a lot of money, but then crap happens. Life happens. And now you’re driving a junker around BUT you still have that joy, and you haven’t missed a beat. When others see adversity come your way and you rise above it and overcome.

If you’ve gone through some crap and haven’t been able to get back on track as you’d like, check out WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR WORK ISN’T WORKING

That’s the type of difference that others can see. It’s when you still show up to work upbeat. And that’s the part of you that people see and want to know what’s different. It makes you stand out from the world. It’s what you have that they don’t.

Work as Worship unto the Lord

Your work is also worship because God is your CEO.

Here are 3 Bible verses that establish that:

– When you make God your CEO He directs your path.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6

– In Proverbs 16:3, God also says that when we commit our work to the Lord, He will establish our plans.

– The bible also says, “The steps of a righteous man are ordered” in Psalm 37:23 showing us that God gives us direction as to how we should live and respond in all areas of life and business.

So, when you spend time with God and say, “Father direct me. Show me the way I should go in business. How should I handle this or that situation?” you’re glorifying God!

When you integrate your faith in your business and in the way you conduct yourself it is a testimony to others.

The way you work is a testimony like a light shining out to others about the goodness of God! ??

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

This is how your work is worship.

It’s not just doing things with excellence, it’s how you do them. It’s the motives of your heart.

It’s in the way you talk, how you treat people, with grace, respect, kindness. It’s being different than how the world does business.

If you’re not sure how to do that I share 7 WAYS TO INTEGRATE YOUR FAITH AND BUSINESS here. LINK

The Lord wants you to enjoy your wealth, enjoy your blessing, and enjoy the work of your hands.

Have you ever wondered why you’re wired to be an entrepreneur? Why you’re motivated? Why you’re driven? It’s also the same way that you may feel about building the kingdom of God and how you may want to use your business to do that. It’s because the marketplace can be your mission field as you worship the Lord through your work and share your testimony and good news of Jesus where you are.

Are you on fire for Jesus and on Fire for Business and want to integrate the two to build the Kingdom of God?

I invite you to be a part of a community that’s filled with Kingdom minded, Christ-Centered entrepreneurs. It’s called Christian Entrepreneurs Community – Christ Centered Coaching on Facebook.
