If social media sites like Facebook and Instagram are your only sources of traffic and lead generation for your business days like yesterday should serve as a wake-up call. What if the shutdown was longer? How does that affect your revenue?
Even on your own website, the organic traffic that comes in from google searches and SEO could stop; which has happened before. Some of you marketers may remember the google search updates like Panda and Penguin where the google search results changed for everyone and hundreds of thousands of people lost their traffic overnight.

An email list is a traffic source that you control. You own your email list. So whatever happens to social media or search engines like google you will always be able to get people in front of your business. Social Media and Google search results are not something we can own but an email list is an asset that you can build forever.
You can send whatever promotion, offer, blog post, video, or anything else you like to the subscriber just make sure it’s relevant.

2. Trust and Security in God as Your Provider – This is simply necessary because changes are inevitable. To avoid getting tossed back and forth in our decisions making we must be secure in our relationship with God, what the Bible says, and our identity in Christ. One of the names for Jesus/God is Jehovah Jireh which means “The Lord Provides.” No matter what happens to us in business or life we have security in God to provide for us, comfort us, deliver us, or give us the strength to make it through a change. Most people usually associate change with fear but when change comes the truth is that it is an opportunity for us to use trust God and deepen our dependency on Him.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:7
When you confidently trust in God it produces peace in the midst of change and downturn.
Look what Psalm 91 has to say about the Lord being our security.
