10 Bible Verses to Help During COVID-19

10 Bible Verses to Fight Fear

During COVID19

These Bible verses will help combat fear, worry, and insecurities during the COIVD19 pandemic.  The truth is no matter what is happening in the world we can carry God’s peace that surpasses understanding. This means you can have serenity even when life is outside of your control and the world is acting crazy.

Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”

Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”

Luke 12:22-26

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.  Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 34:4 “I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.  He freed me from all my fears.”

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

What we keep our focus on is going to dictate the quality of our thoughts. The quality of our thoughts will dictate our actions. You can choose to cling to the promises and truth of God’s word and experience breakthrough. Stay focused on scripture more than the news and media and you will keep God’s peace with you.
